Thanksgiving

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.

Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners? of whom I am the worst.”

The Million Dollar Question

The million dollar question: Are you going to go to Heaven ?

Here is a simple test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anyting or used God’s name in vain? Have you ever looked at someone with lust? It is considered adultery in the heart before God. Will you be guilty on the day of judgement?

If you have done these things, God sees you like a lier, thief, blasphemous and adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty, you would go to Hell. The same way that a criminal goes to prison, the sinner goes to Hell.

That is not God’s will. He sent his Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment in himself. « For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. »

You have broken God’s Law (the 10 Commandments) but Jesus paid your fine. Then, He rose and conquered death.

Please, repent (turn from your sins) today and put your trust in Jesus and He will give you everlasting life. Read your Bible and obey what you read.

Justified?

Why do we need to be justified?

Because we broke God’s Law: Have you ever told a lie? Have you stolen anything? Have you looked with lust? Have you hated someone?

Then God sees you as a thief, lier, adulterer and murderer at heart! If He judges you by the 10 Commandments, you’ll be guilty.

What we need is someone who can pay our fine… we need to be justified before the Judge of the universe…

Justice can be served only in two ways: Either we receive our punishment, or we pay our fine. The Bible makes it clear that there is a place of eternal torment called Hell, that God reserved to punish humanity. As a criminal would go to prison, if you die in your sins, you would go to hell.

Our good actions cannot bribe the Judge of the Universe. If a rapists writes children’s stories while in prison, he will still be guilty of rape and would have to receive justice for what he has done. Our “good works” won’t save us in the day of judgement!

Do you know what God did more than 2000 years ago, so that you wouldn’t go to Hell? He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay your fine with his life’s blood! That’s right… the Bible says that he was pierced and bruised for our transgressions and iniquities so that we could be free from our punishment. He took it upon himself because “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

What you need to do is to REPENT from your sins, turn and despise them; and put your TRUST in Jesus as the only one that can save you and JUSTIFY you before God.

Get a Bible, read it and obey what you read.

Good news?

“I have a very good news for you: take this medicine as the cure for your disease and you will be healed!”

Would that be good news? It just doesn’t make sense: What medicine? What disease? Healed of what?

Let’s try it a different way…

“You have a very strange and terminal disease. The disease is the collapse of your organs. Take a look at this 10 signs that clearly indicate that your condition is critical. You have all ten signs in your body. The consequence is death. You are going to die. BUT I have good news for you: take this medicine as the cure for your disease and you will be healed!”

Wow, that is good news indeed. It makes perfect sense! There was a disease, there was death BUT there is a cure and therefore life!

————————————————————–

“I have very good news for you: accept Jesus Christ as atonement for your sin and you will be saved!”

Would that be good news? It just doesn’t make sense: Why would I accept Him? what sin? saved from what?

Let’s try it a different way…

“You have a terminal ‘disease’ that is called sin. Sin is the transgression of the Law. Take a look at this 10 Commandments that clearly indicate that your condition is critical. You have broken all of them. The consequence is death. God is going to judge you. BUT I have good news for you: accept Jesus Christ as atonement for your sin and you will be saved!”

Wow, that is good news indeed. It makes perfect sense! There was a disease, there was death BUT there is a cure and therefore life!

————————————————————–

We broke God’s law but Jesus paid our fine. REPENT (turn and despise your sin) and put your TRUST in Jesus Christ as the only one that can JUSTIFY you before God. He will grant you everlasting life, according to the Bible.

I’m a criminal

My name is John, and I am a criminal.

I have broken the God’s Law. I have lied many times in my life, I have also stolen, even if they were small things; I have done it. I have also used God’s name in vain. God has given me life and everything that is dear to me but I took his name and used as a curse word. I have also looked at women with lust and Jesus said it is considered as adultery on my heart. Finally, I have also hated a couple of people and Jesus equated hatred with murder.

These are only 5 of the 10 Commandments, but I have anyway broken them all!

God has prepared a place called Hell for my punishment. I am guilty and no escape from the Judge. If I say I am sorry, He will say that I should be sorry because what I did is wrong. If I say that I won’t do it again, He will say that I am right in not wanting to do it again but it doesn’t remove my deserved punishment.

I am a sinner and I am going to Hell.

BUT God loves us so much, that He has prepared a way so that I don’t need to go to Hell. He sent his Son, Jesus to suffer and die on the cross as a payment for my sin! In other words, Jesus took the punishment I deserved so that the Judge can set me free: I broke God’s Law but Jesus paid my fine! Now my case can be legally dismissed because of Jesus’ sacrifice that justifies me before God.

God is giving me the free gift of justification and eternal life but I need to truly repent from my sins, turn from them and trust in Jesus as the only way to be justified before the Father.

I am a sinner and I should go to Hell, but Jesus suffered and died for me to pay my deserved punishment with his life’s blood.

My name is John, and I am a criminal… but I’ve been JUSTIFIED.

Heaven

How can we get there?

Do you have to be a good person?

Are you a good person?

If yes, are you good enough to go to heaven?

Here is a quick test:
Have you ever told a lie?
Have you ever stolen anything (regardless size or value)?
Have you looked with lust at somebody else?

If you answered YES, you have already broken God’s Law.

If God is going to judge you by the Ten Commandments…

Would you be innocent or guilty?

You would be guilty! So would you go to Heaven or Hell?

The same way that a criminal goes to prison, a sinner goes to Hell.

That is not God’s will for anybody.

Do you know what did he do so that you won’t go to Hell?

God sent his Son, Jesus, to suffer and die in the cross- he took the punishment that justice demanded! Then He rose from the death and conquered it! You have broken God’s Law but Jesus paid your fine!

How can we get to heaven?

You have to REPENT of your sins, turn and despise them. Put your TRUST in Jesus as the only one that can JUSTIFY you before God.

Please, read your Bible.

Grace

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

(Ephesians 2:8)

Parachute

Everyday 150’000 people die.

This means that everyday, 150’000 people jump from the plane of life, into eternity. Many of those who jumped yesterday, never gave a thought about afterlife, but anyway; they jumped. Maybe they didn’t expect to jump at an early age or in good health, but they jumped. Maybe their success or plans took their attention and never considered the jump to come. The family members and loved ones of those who will jump today, might not be prepared to receive the news. In the last few seconds, since you started reading this blog, many people have already jumped.

The fact is that we all belong to the statistic: out of a 100 people, 100 die.

If we jump from a plane without a parachute, the Law of Gravity will make sure that we are destroyed. In the same way, if we jump into eternity without « a parachute », the Law of God will turn us into pieces.

Why? because he has given us 10 Commandments to follow and we haven’t. We will be guilty in the day of judgement:

1.- Have you loved God with all of your heart? Is He the priority in your life?
2.- Have you created a god that you feel comfortable with? Do you have something or someone that rules your life such as money, friends, relationships or work?
3.- Have you always used the name of God with respect?
4.- Have you always kept a day for God?
5.- Have you always respected your mother and father?
6.- Have you ever murdered? Did you know that Jesus equates hatred with murder? So, have you ever hated someone?
7.- Have you committed adultery? Meaning to have sexual relationships with someone outside of marriage or with someone else besides your spouse? Did you know that Jesus said that if you look with lust, you have already committed adultery in your heart? So, have you ever looked at someone with lust?
8.- Have you ever stolen anything? Regardless its size or value.
9.- Have you ever told a lie?
10.- Have you ever desired to have somebody else’s profession, wife, house, car, job, salary, looks? This is to covet.

It is clear now that the Law of God will destroy you if you jump from the plane of life into eternity!!

But God has provided « a parachute » to save you : Jesus Christ. God’s son lived a sinless life (kept all the Commandments) and died in the cross as the punishment that we all deserved. This is the great exchange: He took our sins/punishment and gave us his righteousness!

What you have to do is to REPENT from your sins; from every deed and thought you had against God and His Law. Then, TRUST in Jesus; put your FAITH in Him, as the only way to survive the jump to come. You broke God’s Law but Jesus paid your fine: you can be JUSTIFIED before God but you have to embrace the free gift of Jesus’ sacrifice on your behalf.

Everyday 150’000 people die… don’t wait another minute!

Six Days

If the Bible says that God created EVERYTHING in 6 days; I will believe it.

Thinking that evolution is a possibility would be like doubting God’s power and calling Him a liar. If He is saying that He did create everything in six days, I wouldn’t question it for a moment.

Those who refuse to believe in Creation, are falling into an unaccountability game. IF God didn’t create, it means that He isn’t too powerful to do it. It would mean that god didn’t create, that we are here for accident or cosmic experiment. It would mean that there is no purpose for our existence and if god is out there looking he doesn’t care about humanity. that he doesn’t see my thought life, that there is no redemption from sin because there isn’t sin in the first place and even there might not be a god!!

Those people are right, because their “god” doesn’t’ exist! Is just a product of their imagination, they have created a god that they are comfortable with, SO THAT they can keep on sinning and won’t think of an eternal consequence!

The names of God reveal something very interesting:

“ELOHIM” (or Elohay) is the first name for God found in the Bible, and it’s used throughout the Old Testament over 2,300 times. Elohim comes from the Hebrew root meaning “strength” or “power”. Throughout scripture, Elohim is combined with other words to describe certain characteristics of God. A couple of examples are: Elohay Kedem – God of the Beginning: (Deuteronomy 33:27). Elohay Mishpat – God Of Justice: (Isaiah 30:18).

The Bible says that “GOD CREATED” (Genesis 1:1) and that God is a God of Justice “Elohay Mishpat”…

The same way that he is to judge a rapist, he will also see that every liar, every thief and every adulterer won’t go unpunished. Our good actions won’t balance every time that we broke one of the 10 Commandments, and saying “sorry” won’t change the mind of a Judge.

So the main issue is not if you believe in Creation, the main question is if you are justified before God:

God DID create
God WILL judge

If He is going to judge according to the 10 Commandments and we have broken each one of them, then how can we be justified before God?

Find out in this Blog.

Easter

This weekend, a lot of people will watch again Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion of the Christ”.

The movie has been considered as offensive. Why? Does it contain strong language or sex scenes? No. It’s because of its graphic and brutal description of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Isaiah prophesied that this brutal death would take place–the Messiah would be, “…bruised for our iniquities” and yet we are further told, “…it pleased the Lord to bruise him.” (See Isaiah 53:5-10). What does this mean, and how does it affect you?

A small boy was once forbidden by his father from touching an antique vase. One day the child not only touched it, he accidentally broke it. But he wasn’t concerned because he thought it could be easily replaced. When the father found out it was broken, he told his son that it was worth $25,000. It was only when the child understood the vase’s true value that he saw the seriousness of his transgression and felt sorrow of heart. When the father saw that the child was truly sorry, he said, “Son, it’s going to cost everything I have, but because I love you I will replace it myself.”
To understand what an incredible thing God has done for you, let’s look at your transgressions for a moment. Have you kept the Ten Commandments? Have you always loved God above all else? Or have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you ever used God’s name to curse? Have you kept the Sabbath holy, and honored your father and mother? Have you hated anyone? God considers hatred to be as murder. Jesus said, “Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart” (this includes sex before marriage). Have you looked with lust? Have you stolen anything?

(The value of the item is irrelevant). Have you lied? (Including answering these questions). Have you ever desired what belongs to others? The Bible warns that the Day will come when God will punish all murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc. He will even judge our words and thoughts. So, on Judgment Day will you be guilty or innocent? Perhaps you think that God is good, and He will overlook your sins. But it is His goodness that will make sure that murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, etc. receive justice. Or perhaps you think that your good deeds will outweigh the bad on that Day, but the fact that a criminal gives to charities has nothing to do with his crime. All the good works in the world will not bribe God to forgive your sins. Every transgression will be punished.
Can you see that you have broken the “vase” into a thousand pieces, and you can’t make things right yourself? But God became a sinless Man to make us righteous in His sight. The horror of the cross reveals how angry He is about sin. The fact that He sees lust as adultery and hatred as murder shows us its serious nature, and that fact should help us feel sorrow for what we have done.

Think of what God did to make things right. Jesus of Nazareth was brutally bruised for our iniquities…”yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him.” God loves you so much it pleased Him to make things right through the Cross, then He defeated the grave through the resurrection. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Make sure that you repent and trust the Savior (that you are “born again”—see John 3:1-5), or you will come under His fierce wrath, and end up in Hell.

We broke God’s law but Jesus paid our fine. We’ve been justified.

Confess your sins directly to Him right now (you may not have tomorrow), put your trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life. Then read your Bible daily, and obey what you read (See John 14:21).

Thank you for reading this.

“I hope they watch the movie and want to read the book!”
